Michael Forbes is an audio engineer and a web engineer. Having earned his BA (Music & Technology) in 2010 and his MS (Information Systems) in 2016, each from Stevens Institute of Technology, his career in live and recorded sound stands on a foundation of advanced music theory and performance as well as computer expertise. He began studying the piano at age six followed by the saxophone, bass guitar, and voice while participating in numerous bands, choirs, and solo performances.

Michael has years of experience in studios, music venues, and on-location throughout the NJ/NYC area, plus a lifetime of advanced computer use that includes programming and web development. His experience in commercial studios and in building a personal studio has developed his strong command of the recording process. On the business side, he arranged for bands from around the country to visit Stevens for quarterly rock shows as president of the Stevens Underground Music Awareness Committee. Most recently, he took positions at Maxwell's, Mexicali Live, School of Rock, the City of Hoboken's Cultural Affairs, and Relm Music running front-of-house live sound. On that rare weekend without a gig, Michael enjoys snowboarding, scuba diving, and any other excuse for an adventure.
